A little graphic I did for work. The raw render:
NERD ALERT! Made in Blender with cycles render engine, makes me wish I had a beast of a gfx card to preview, but still wasn't too bad, a 10 min render at 1500 x 2100 on a quad 2.66 cpu (100 passes I think). Minimal post pro, only to remove the banding from the background gradient. Cycles makes 3D fun. The print copy looks fantastic btw ;)
Made entirely with free software, Blender, GIMP, Inkscape on Ubuntu.

ReplyDeleteThis is really cool. It has a nice tangible clay feel to it.
The typography could use a little help though. It might also be worth exploring a background gradient that adds more contrast between the flowers and the sky.
It's nice to see you doing some 3D stuff though!
